Asia 2011 - Week 6: Kicking back and packing up

This week we didn't do much at all, which can be a good thing!
We got a few pics of this nothing though. :)

We spent the first half of the week in Mirissa, at a fancy resort with a great view.

Dad of course spent his time in the end of the beach with the big waves...

...while John spent his till in the pool...

... and Sara and mom lapping sun (and sipping pina coladas).

Sara has now joined John jumping into the deep end of the pool.

...as well as at the bottom, fetching spoons and various other items which we throw in.

Here's our favorite Sri Lankan street food: Rotti
It's sort of like sticky sourdough pancakes, but with different fillings. Some with very HOT curries in them, some with sweet.

In the evenings we always play UNO, at least 5 times.
Here we are checking that the deck has all the cards.

The beach in Hikkaduwa had flooded when we got back.
Luckily we found some great surfboards to cruise it on!
(John later said this to mom when we took walk on the beach: "Varför måste vi gå så långt??? Mitt skelett nästan rörde sig!!!")

And the sunsets in Hikkaduwa... They are still just as nice!

Next time you get the final travel update from us it will be from "home base", aka Kvarnskogen. On Wednesday we leave Sri Lanka and on Friday we are home again!

But we'll do a birthday special before this...

Location:Hikkaduwa, Sri Lanka
